Details: The
Tailgate Trot is a 4 mile road race and walk through the streets of
Waltham celebrating the life of Michael A. Martin. Anyone who knew
Michael knew he never had just one pot on the stove so it only fitting
that having four reasons further exemplifies how Michael lived his life.
The
4 reasons are the Alzheimer's Association Masschusetts and New
Hampshire Chapter, American Cancer Society New England Division, Joslin
Diabetes Center High Hopes Fund, and National Multiple Sclerosis Society
Greater New England Chapter all of which are near and dear to us as we
have family members and friends living with these on a day to day
basis. Each organization will receive 25% of the proceeds.

Details: The Sharon Timlin Memorial 5K Road Race to Cure ALS and Family Fun
Day was created 10 years ago with a single objective in mind - to raise
money to find a cure for ALS. The event has raised more than $1.1
million to date. Every dollar raised is directed toward the Angel Fund, a 100%
volunteer-run organization, all of which is then directed toward the
Cecil B. Day Laboratory at UMass Medical School, where Dr. Robert Brown
and his world-renowned colleagues are doing groundbreaking research
toward a cure or effective treatment. This event would not be such a success without the support of the
Timlin Family, the Boston Red Sox and the community of Hopkinton.
